TRAFFIC is queuing for five miles on the M25 in Essex as two lanes have been closed after a crash.

The two lanes have been shut on the motorway anticlockwise from junction 27 to junction 26, near Waltham Abbey, after a crash involving a car and a lorry, according to AA traffic updates.

Recovery work is currently underway with traffic queueing for five miles back past junction 27.

The incident is blocking lanes one and two - of four.

"Severe" delays of 23 minutes are increasing on the motorway between junction 28 and junction 26, AA reports.
