A MAN has been charged with a drugs supply offence following an early hours police raid on a south Essex estate.
Police raided an address in Dulwich Avenue, Laindon, in the early hours of the morning yesterday in connection with a probe.
A man was arrested at the address on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, following the 4.55am search on the Dunton Fields estate.
Now, Rio Samuda, 28, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
He appeared at court today and has been remanded in custody to appear at court again at a later date.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We executed a warrant at an address in Dulwich Avenue, Laindon, at about 4.55am on Wednesday April 3.
"At the address we arrested one man on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
"Now, 28-year-old Rio Samuda has been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
"He appeared at Southend Magistrates' Court today, Thursday April 4, and has been remanded in custody to appear at court at a later date."
