PERFORMERS from a much-loved Southend music charity have starred in an incredible show at the Royal Albert Hall.
The Music Man Project, founded in Southend, brought together more than 700 performers at the Royal Albert Hall last night.
In a show, titled “Music is Magic”, included more than 250 Music Man Project students from across the UK and hundreds of singers from south Essex choirs, including Southend Vox, and Love2Sign.
The concert also featured a very special guest, the charity’s patron and musical theatre legend Michael Ball, as well as The Band of His Majesty’s Royal Marines.
The Music Man Project is a multi-award-winning and world record-breaking disability charity which was set up in Southend by David Stanley.
It has since expanded to around 14 centres across the UK.
Founder David Stanley told the BBC, that the concert was in honour of the murdered Southend West MP, Sir David Amess, who supported the charity for years before his death.
Anna Firth, MP for Southend West, was in attendance at the Royal Albert Hall to show her support the Music Man Project.
