Drivers have been warned of delays across Southend next week as a number of roadworks are set to start.

Here are all the works starting next week with "delays likely", according to traffic management site one.network:

Roadworks are set to start in West Road, Westcliff, next week from Tuesday until Monday, April 22.

This is while Essex and Suffolk Water carries out works. Two-way signals will be in place.


A road closure will be in place in Park Road in Westcliff from Monday until Friday while Cadent carries out gas works.


Roadworks are also starting in Station Road, Westcliff, from Monday.

Multi-way signals will be in place while Openreach undertakes remedial works.


Virgin Media will be starting permanent reinstatement work in Woodgrange Drive next week, near Leamington Road.

While works are taking place, give and take traffic control will be in place from 8am on Friday until 5pm on Monday, April 22.


Southend Council will be shutting York Road next week.

Part of the road is set to close from 7pm on Tuesday until midnight on Thursday.

This is while carriageway resurfacing is carried out.


Baltic Avenue will be shutting from 7.30pm on Thursday while Southend Council carries out carriageway resurfacing. 

The road will be closed until midnight on Monday, April 22.


Southend Council will also be closing Tylers Avenue on Monday from 7.30pm.

The closure will be in place until Midnight on Tuesday.

This is while resurfacing is carried out.


A lane closure will also be in place in Prittlewell Chase from Wednesday until Friday.

It will be in place outside Southend Hospital while Essex And Suffolk Water carries out works.


Multi-way signals will be in place in Sutton Road on Monday near Redstock Road.

This will only be in place on Monday,  while Anglian Water works are undertaken.
