Essex Police are asking for the public’s help following a serious assault in Basildon where a man with facial injuries was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Police were called to reports of an injured man at Ballards Walk, Basildon, around 9.15am last Friday.

While ambulance services took the injured man – aged in his 40s – to hospital after he sustained a face injury.

Due to the time of day, Essex Police believe there will have been people in the area and who might have seen the incident.

The suspect, who left the scene in a car, was described as a bald man in his early 40s and was wearing a T-shirt and body warmer with light grey jogging bottoms.
