TWO people have been taken to hospital after a lorry and car crashed in a key south Essex road this morning.
Emergency services were called to Runwell Road, in Wickford, before 12pm this afternoon.
This was after reports of a crash involving a car and lorry at a section of roadworks, Essex Police has confirmed.

The road was blocked with slow traffic until around 2pm following the incident, which was attended by police and two ambulances.
Two people have been taken to Basildon Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 11.50am to a road traffic collision involving two cars on Runwell Road in Wickford.
“Two ambulances were sent to the scene and transported two patients to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
