These closures, between 9pm and 5am, will start on May 13 while Essex County Council highway maintenance works are carried out.

Drivers will be diverted via A127, A176, A1235, A132 Southend-bound only, with access only into Pipps Hill Road and Gardiners Lane North.

Surrey Avenue in Leigh will also be closed from outside house numbers 32 to 38 on May 3.

The closure will be in place from 8.30am until 3.30pm with no parking, stopping, waiting, loading or unloading during this time.

This is while BT pole replacement takes place.

An alternative route will be available via Middlesex Avenue, Manchester Drive and Norfolk Avenue and vice versa.

A new temporary speed limit is set to be introduced in Barrow Hall Road, Little Wakering next month.

The 40mph speed limit will be in place from a point about 175m west of its junction with Little Wakering Road for three days from May 13.

This is while Essex and Suffolk Water carries out supply works.

BT has applied to change its existing licence in Bellhouse Road to keep one extra goods vehicle.

Landowners or residents nearby who believe they would be affected by this are advised to make written representations to the traffic commissioner at Hillcrest House, in Harehills Lane, Leeds, by May 8.
