Police investigating multiple reports of thefts from cars, fraud and vehicle interferences in Rochford have charged a man in connection.

Essex Police launched an investigation after reports of entry being made into vehicles between March and April this year.

On several occasions, entry was gained and items including bank cards stolen from within.

These bank cards were subsequently reportedly used at nearby shops. 

Mark Harris, 39, of Leicester Avenue, Rochford, has since been charged with three counts of theft from a motor vehicle, seven counts of vehicle interference and two counts of fraud by false representation.

He appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court today, where he was remanded in custody until a hearing at Basildon Crown Court on Monday June 3.
