A MOTORCYCLIST has suffered a suspected serious injury after a crash in Basildon with the road remaining shut off by police.
Emergency services were called to Luckyn Lane this afternoon, at around 2.10pm, after a crash involving a car and a motorcycle.
Paramedics and police are on the scene with the road closed off to drivers.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “A road closure is in place in Luckyn Lane, Basildon, after a collision involving a car and a motorcycle.
“The collision was reported to us at around 2.10pm today (Wednesday 15 May).
“The motorcyclist, a man, has suffered a suspected serious leg injury.
“Officers remain on scene.”

East of England Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
