AN ICONIC bomber will be thundering down Southend Airport's runway for a high-speed taxi run tonight.
Visitors will get uninterrupted views across the airport as the Vulcan XL426 carries out two taxi-runs today, with the second pass at high-speed.
The Vulcan will then taxi back to shut down engines in front of the enclosure.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive from 6pm today, to soak up the atmosphere and see the aircraft being prepared for the evening's event.
The engine start is scheduled for 8.30 pm.
Teas and coffees will be on sale throughout the evening and aviation enthusiasts will be able to grab drinks from a licensed bar.
Hundreds are expected to attend, with tickets already sold out ahead of the event tonight.
