A HUGELY popular indie pop band is set to return to a popular nightclub in an Essex city.

Scouting for Girls will be playing once again at Sub Zero, in Wivenhoe Park, Essex University, after selling out their last performance in 2022.

Friends since they were five, indie pop three-piece Scouting For Girls, made up of Roy Stride, Pete Ellard, and Greg Churchouse, will be making their way to the city on May 31.

They are best known for their hits ‘She’s So Lovely’,  ‘Elvis Ain’t Dead’, ‘Heartbeat’, and ‘Everybody Wants To Be On TV'.

A spokesman for Sub Zero said: "Located on the University of Essex campus, Sub Zero is Colchester’s biggest nightclub with a capacity of 1,200.

"It features a dancefloor, raised stage, state-of-the-art sound system, laser show and CO2 cannons in an underground, urban environment with a 360 photobooth, two bars, and cloakroom.

"It’s the perfect club and gig space.

"As well as Scouting for Girls, expect big drinks deals, shisha and a live DJ before the main act. It’s going to be a night to remember."

Student prices start from £12 and non-students start at £19.99.
