The bank holiday weekend is finally upon us.

Here’s a list of five free activities in Southend you can get involved with this weekend.

Big Up Southend at The Victoria Centre

This free event at the High Street shopping centre celebrates the talent that Southend has to offer – from small businesses to creatives and performers.

Creative activity for youngsters to take part in will be on offer, meaning something is available for the whole family.

It is being held on Saturday between 11am and 4pm.

Southend Spring Fayre at Belle Vue Baptist Church

The church in Southchurch Road is hosting a free event where visitors can enjoy some team and cake, some local shopping, and fun activities for children.

It is being held on Saturday between 11am and 3pm.

Music in the Park

Three days of music will return to the Priory Park bandstand this bank holiday weekend.

DG Quartet will take to the bandstand on Saturday, Nomad on Sunday, and Yardarm Folk Orchestra on Monday.

The acts will perform between 3pm and 4.30pm.

Spring to Life at The Victoria Centre

The shopping centre team will turn The Victoria into a health and wellbeing hub between 10am and 5pm on Saturday.

Interactive yoga sessions, personal training sessions, reflexology, and Tai Chi will all be on offer.

Old Leigh Artist Market

The market is back on Strand Wharf in picturesque Old Leigh on Saturday.

A total of 25 creative stallholders will be at the market between 10am and 4pm.
