NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to seven south Essex establishments; the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
The scheme gives businesses a rating from five to zero, with five being hygiene standards are very good, and zero being urgent improvement is required.
Here are the establishments in the borough of Southend that have been awarded a new hygiene rating:
Southend:
Sk Eventbars / Kellys Kitchen at Cafe, Leigh Community Centre, 71 - 73 Elm Road, Leigh was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on May 14.
Visitor Information Centre Southend Pier at Tourist Information Centre, The Pier, Western Esplanade, Southend was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 29.
Artability Ltd at 363 - 365a Rayleigh Road, Eastwood was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 16.
Break And Brunch at 182 Leigh Road, Leigh was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 16.
The Meadowlark at Artillery Avenue, Shoeburyness, Southend was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on May 3.
Subway at 85 Prince Avenue, Southend was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 15.
Wild Health, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 212 Leigh Road, Leigh was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 12.
