A CANNABIS grow has been found in a Westcliff home as a man is arrested on suspicion of immigration offences.
Essex Police attended an address in St George’s Park Avenue, Westcliff, at 8:55am on Friday.
They attended in connection with an unrelated matter when they became aware of a cannabis grow inside the property.
A 24-year-old man was arrested at the address on suspicion of production of cannabis and immigration offences.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “He has since been handed over to the immigration services.
“The cannabis cultivation and equipment were dismantled, and enquiries are ongoing.”
