EMERGENCY services have responded to an incident which has led to a section of the Dartford Crossing being partially closed.
Essex Police attended Dartford Crossing at 1.40pm today, June 1, after receiving reports of someone on the crossing.
Lane one was closed of the A282 South QE2 Bridge at the crossing as a result.
A spokesman for Essex Police has now spoken to The Southend Echo, confirming the person is now safe.
They said: "We were called to concerns for someone on the Dartford Crossing at 1.40pm today, Saturday June 1.
"They were brought to safety, with the assistance of members of the public, and has been left in the care of medical professionals.
"The bridge is fully re-opening."
Motorists are currently experiencing lengthy 45-minute delays due to the incident.
The East of England Ambulance Service has been contacted for a comment.
