Fire crews have battled to tackle a shed fire that spread to a bungalow on Canvey.
Firefighters were called to Urmond Road, Canvey at 12.20pm on Sunday, to find a shed on fire.
An Essex Fire spokesman said: "On arrival, firefighters confirmed it was a fire which had spread from the shed to a bungalow.
"Crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire by 12.46pm.
"The cause of the fire was accidental.
"The resident was burning garden waste which did not cool down properly."
