Police have provided more details after a car hit a railway bridge yesterday - causing delays and cancellations for c2c passengers.
The crash, which happened around 2.50pm on Saturday, involved one vehicle at Thorpe Hall Avenue.
A car crashed into a railway bridge, causing minimal damage to the bridge but impacting services between Shoebury and London.
A police spokesman said: "We were notified at 2.50pm on Saturday 15 June of a single vehicle collision at Thorpe Hall Avenue where a car struck a railway bridge causing minimal damage.
"No reported serious injuries.
"Essex Police officers repositioned the vehicle to allow traffic to pass.
"Road was blocked on one side for a short time."
c2c have been contacted for comment about the crash.
