A PUB has reopened boasting a new cocktail area, restaurant, sports bar and outdoor pergola following a major six-figure refurbishment.
The Inn on the Green, in Mountnessing Road, Billericay, threw open its doors to customers on Friday to line up with the start of Euro 2024 and bosses are now looking forward to showing a summer packed full of sport.
As part of the refurbishment, which saw the pub close for a month, Greene King overhauled the pub’s interior and created an open plan layout alongside a TV-free restaurant and sports bar.
Yawar Hossain, general manager of Inn on the Green, said: “Our brilliant team are excited to showcase our new and improved pub to the local community.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming both new and old customers.
“The renovation has given the pub a new lease of life, and we’re confident that customers will love our improved facilities, whether they’re looking for a drink with friends, a meal with the family, booking a party, or enjoying a sporting event, there really is something for everyone.”
The outside of the pub now includes a new garden pergola, alongside bookable booths and a Champagne table.
A spokesman for Greene King said: “The gardens have undergone a huge expansion, now boasting an increased capacity of over 230 covers, with 80 of those covered and heated.
“The addition of a charming pergola, which offers a variety of comfortable seating from booths, high seats to normal tables, along with mood lighting and heating, will act as a cosy mini function room, bringing the outside in and offering even more space for relaxation or to dine and drink with friends watching the sport on new outdoor TVs.
“The pub offers Sky and TNT Sport, showing all major matches throughout the year, so sports fans need never miss a second of the action.
“The venue is also registered on the Greene King Sport app for countless deals.”
The pub also now has a new menu including small plates “perfect for sharing” as well as a dedicated children’s menu, seniors’ menu and a “lunch club” menu.
Sunday roasts are also on offer every week.
