A GROUP of students at a school in Westcliff are set to run a half marathon to raise vital funds for a south Essex charity.
Pupils at Westcliff High School for Boys will take on the 13.1 mile run on July 20 for Havens Hospices.
Havens Hospices provide specialist care to those with incurable or complex conditions.
A spokesman for Havens Hospices said: "Good luck to the A Level PE students at Westcliff High School for Boys who will be taking on a half marathon on July 20 to raise vital funds for Havens Hospices.
"After listening to a fundraising talk at their school the group decided as a class that they wanted to fundraise and raise awareness of Havens Hospices.
"They have already raised an incredible £1,150 which will go towards our free specialist care and support for children, young adults and adults around Essex."
