A SHORTAGE of train drivers has forced a number of rush hour c2c services to be cancelled.
Trains between Fenchurch Street and Grays and Fenchurch Street and Shoebury have been cancelled this evening amid the shortage.
The services affected include the 4.57pm from Shoebury to Fenchurch Street, which was initially delayed until 6pm, the 5.10pm, 6.10pm and 6.51pm trains from Fenchurch Street to Grays and the 6.03pm from Grays to Fenchurch Street.
Other trains have been delayed for up to an hour, including the Fenchurch Street to Shoebury service at 5.43pm now due at 6.45pm and the 5.47pm train from Fenchurch Street to Southend Central now due at 6.43pm.
Despite these cancellations, the c2c is reporting a good service on the line today.
