A PERSON was treated for burns on the scene of a blaze near a Southend industrial estate this afternoon.
Firefighters from Southend were called to Stock Road at 2.37pm this afternoon as smoke billowed from a blaze on a workshop.
Footage from the scene showed clouds of thick black smoke coming from the site.
On arrival, crews confirmed it was a vehicle repair workshop which was alight in Stock Road, near the Temple Farm industrial estate.
Firefighters extinguished the fire by 3.03pm and administered first aid to one person who suffered minor burns.
The fire service has confirmed the blaze was started accidentally.
