TWO Ford models are being targeted by car thieves across south Essex with four stolen from Benfleet alone over the weekend.
Recent information from Essex Police's stolen vehicle intelligence unit suggests late model Ford Puma and Kuga cars are being stolen in south Essex.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "Whilst we are working to reduce such crime, we urge owners to consider additional security, such as: fit a full approved steering wheel lock; use approved Faraday Bags; double lock the vehicle and ensure it is locked before it is left; OBD protection, but not as a prevention method in isolation; additional immobilizer."
