The Red Arrows have issued an update after being scheduled to roar into Southend Airport today.
The iconic Red Arrows were expected to return to Southend Airport today as they had planned to take part in another display at Headcorn.
However, the Red Arrows team have since confirmed they will not be able to carry out the planned show due to weather concerns.
In a statement, they said: “Unfortunately, due to low cloud cover and very poor visibility - making it unsuitable to display - the Red Arrows will not be able to carry out the planned show at Headcorn this afternoon.
“We are sorry the weather has prevented today's display but safety is always our priority."
The Arrows were expected to mark the anniversary of the Battle of Britain at Headcorn Aerodrome today with spectacular flying displays.
Southend Airport was due to host the Red Arrows whilst they took part in the displays.
They were planned to land at Southend Airport at 10.16am before heading to the show at 12.47pm and returning to the airport at 1.38pm.
They were then scheduled to depart again at 4pm.
However, the Red Arrows will not be able to carry out the planned show.
