Detectives from Essex Police’s Serious Crime Directorate have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man.
Police were called to reports of a serious assault in Willingale Road, Loughton, at around 10.20pm on Wednesday July 3.
A man in his 60s was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He died on Thursday 4 July.
Officers say they are supporting the man’s family.
A 30-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody.
Police inquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
