POLICE have launched an investigation after a man was grabbed and had his shirt ripped in an attack on the High Street.

Officers were called to reports of the man, in his 20s, assaulted in Wickford.

It was reported he was grabbed and had his shirt ripped in the town centre at around 9pm on Wednesday.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.

"Please quote incident 1276 of 7 August.
