Superheroes and their villainous counterparts thrilled youngsters visiting Adventure Island across the weekend.
The Southend seafront attraction hosted its popular Superhero Weekend again this year, in an effort to raise funds for Southend Hospital’s radiotherapy department.
Staff at the theme park embraced the spirit by dressing up as fan-favourite heroes and villains, entertaining young visitors across Saturday and Sunday.
James Miler, operations director at Adventure Island, said: “Celebrating Superhero Weekend for another year is truly fantastic. This event has always been a customer favourite, and we’re thrilled to see our staff fully embracing the spirit by dressing up as superheroes.
“We’re also proud to continue raising funds for Southend Hospital Charitable Foundation and their spotlight radiotherapy appeal.
“Best of all, the event is free because we believe in providing great value and memorable experiences for everyone who visits.
“It’s a weekend we all look forward to, and we’re grateful to be part of such a meaningful cause.”
The radiotherapy appeal aims to raise £600,000 to fund state-of-the-art technology to better the lives of patients undergoing cancer treatment in mid and south Essex.
