Police have issued an update following an earlier incident that has left a cyclist in a critical condition in hospital after a fall.
The incident, which occurred in Lambourne Hall Road, Canewdon around 9.30am, saw a cyclist taken to hospital with "potentially life-threatening injuries".
It is believed the man fell from his bike.
A police spokesman said: "The cyclist remains in hospital in a critical condition.
"Officers were at the scene for around three hours and have since left the scene."
Police have also now identified the driver of a dark Peugeot and a learner car they appealed to speak to earlier.
