Four people have been injured following a serious crash involving a motorcycle and car in Rayleigh.

Emergency services hastened to Bull Lane in Rayleigh yesterday morning at around 10:35am, following reports of a crash involving a motorbike and a car.

Four people sustained injuries, with one individual suffering serious injuries.

However, none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

The road was closed whilst emergency services addressed the crash and officers are appealing to any witnesses to come forward.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "“We were called to reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a car shortly before 10.35am yesterday morning, in Bull Lane, Rayleigh.

“Four people suffered injuries and were left in the care of the ambulance service.

“None of the injuries suffered are believed to be life-threatening.

“A road closure was put in place and we are continuing our enquiries into this collision.

“Anyone with information should contact us as soon as possible.

“Quote incident 376 of 25 August.”

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service added: "We sent three ambulances and the air ambulance attended.

"Four patients were treated and one was transported to Southend Hospital."
