SEVERAL busy roads in Rayleigh are set for improvements with closures taking place this week.
Essex County Council is resurfacing roads across the town including Websters Way, Eastwood Road and Daws Heath Road from tomorrow.
While these works are underway, overnight closures will be in place on these three roads from 8pm until 5am to minimise disruption.
These roads will be shut overnight from tomorrow until Wednesday, September 4, and again on Sunday, September 8.
The closures will not be in place over the weekend.
An Essex Highways spokesman said: "Please note that our plans are weather dependent and may change at short notice.
"Bus operators have been informed so they are able to adjust their timetables accordingly."
