Two security staff have been assaulted and racially abused during a "disturbance" outside a south Essex pub
Essex Police were called to a disturbance outside the Monico public house on Canvey at around 6:10pm on Monday.
This followed reports of a disturbance where two security staff were assaulted and one was racially abused.
Officers report that a 15-year-old girl was also assaulted.
A 33-year-old man, from Basildon, has since been arrested and interviewed, before being released under investigation whilst Essex Police carry out enquiries.
It is also alleged a police vehicle was damaged upon an arrest.
Essex Police are now urging witnesses to come forward.
A spokesman said: "We arrested a 33-year-old man from Basildon on August 26 following a disturbance on Canvey, during which two security staff were assaulted and one was racially abused.
"A 15-year-old girl was also assaulted, and it is alleged that he damaged a police vehicle upon arrest.
"He has been interviewed and released under investigation whilst we progress CCTV enquiries.
