A main road through Benfleet was closed off by police following a crash that saw a major emergency service response.
Pictures show Benfleet High Road cordoned off by police around 7.30pm after a crash opposite the Hot Hut.
Police, fire engines and ambulance crews were present on the road for more than an hour, with reports from witnesses claiming the crash involved three cars and no pedestrians.
Essex Police and East of England Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
