FIREFIGHTERS are on the scene of a blaze in a field as residents are being urged to shut their windows and doors.
Crews are currently tackling the field fire near Stambridge Road, Rochford, which is "producing lots of smoke".
Residents who live nearby are being warned to keep their windows and doors closed while the flames are being tackled.

An Essex Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "We're currently at the scene of a field fire near Stambridge Road, Rochford.
