A PERSON has been rescued and cut out of a car by emergency services following a crash in Leigh.
The incident, which occurred on Eastwood Road, saw a significant emergency response yesterday afternoon between 2pm to 4pm.
Photos showed police officers and police cars on the scene around a car which had no roof, doors, or boot attached.
One witness also stated that a cordon was in place around the scene.
Essex Fire has confirmed that one casualty was trapped in a vehicle. As a result, firefighters used specialist cutting gear to free the casualty who was then left in the hands of The East of England Ambulance Service.
Essex Police confirmed they attended a three-vehicle crash and stated that no arrests have been made.
A spokesman for Essex Fire added: "Firefighters were called to a collision between two vehicles on Eastwood road, Leigh, on Sunday at 2.08pm.
"On arrival crews confirmed that one casualty was trapped. Firefighters used specialist cutting gear to free the casualty by 3.27pm and left the scene with the Ambulance Service."
The East of England Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment by the Echo.
