Police remain on the scene of a "serious" single car crash on the A130.
The A130 in South Essex remains closed around the Canvey Way junction and there is a large amount of traffic in the area.
Police have confirmed that they remain at the scene of the crash currently, which is understood to be a single car crash.
Drivers have been urged to find an alternative route, with the road closed for four hours and likely to be closed for several more.
The closure has also caused a severe build-up of traffic on the A127.
