An air ambulance has been spotted flying away from the scene of an incident near a Basildon school.
The helicopter was seen rising above the cricket field pitch, near Basildon Lower Academy in Timberlog Lane, around 5.19pm.Photographer Dane Shearwood, saw the helicopter as it made its take-off.
He said: "I heard some sirens and five minutes later I heard a horrible noise and I saw it, it was a helicopter.
"I didn't see it come down but it was a real shock to hear the sirens.
"I am not sure if something happened on the way to the hospital and they needed and ambulance or if there was an accident, there could be multiple reasons."
The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance have been contact for comment.
