Two people have been rushed to Basildon Hospital following a "very serious" crash which closed a major road.
The crash, around 9.15pm yesterday evening, was between a car and a motorbike and saw parts of the A130 and the A13 affected and closed while emergency services remained on the scene.
Four ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.
Traffic was diverted to join the A127 at Rayleigh Weir and there was a closure in the Canvey Way slip-road to the A13.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 9.15pm on Tuesday with reports of a road traffic collision on Sadlers Farm roundabout in Basildon involving a car and a motorbike.
"Four ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.
"Two patients were transported to Basildon Hospital for further care."
