A PENSIONER tragically died at the scene of a crash with a lorry in a main Essex road.
Police were called to Roxwell Road at the junction with Vicarage Road, following reports of a serious crash before 1.30pm on Friday.
The crash involved a car and a flatback lorry. The driver of the car, in their 70s, sadly, died at the scene.
The road was closed between Boyton Cross and Lordship Road while investigative enquiries took place and to allow for vehicle recovery. It was reopened shortly before 7.30pm.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "No arrests were made and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
