A popular 1940s and 1950s dance event is set to return to Southend Airport this month.
The Vulcan Restoration Trust has announced that its '40s and '50s Vulcan Hangar Dance will take place on Saturday, October 12.
The event, which takes place in the Vulcan Hangar at Southend Airport, will feature music from the Sid Bolan Big Band, who will play dance hits from the wartime and post-war years.
The Air Raid Jive Dance School will kick off the evening with a 30-minute tutorial.
A spokesman for the Vulcan Restoration Trust said: "Dressing in vintage attire is highly encouraged but not essential to create an authentic atmosphere.
"However, please remember to dress warmly, as the event takes place in an aircraft hangar, which can get chilly in October."
Tickets for the event are on sale at avrovulcan.com and are priced at £20, with a reduced rate of £16 for Vulcan Restoration Trust members.
