Commuters are facing significant delays this morning after trespassers were reported on the railway tracks, leading to major service disruptions on the c2c line.
The 8am service from Shoeburyness to London Fenchurch Street was terminated early at Southend Central.
It will no longer call at key stops including Westcliff, Chalkwell, Leigh-On-Sea, Benfleet, Basildon, Barking, West Ham, Limehouse, and its final destination at London Fenchurch Street.
Passengers on this route have been advised to seek alternative transport options.
Additionally, the 09:19 service from London Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness has also been cancelled altogether due to the ongoing issue.
Passengers are urged to check live updates for their journeys using the c2c website.
The south Essex rail operator has apologised for the inconvenience caused, and efforts are being made to resolve the situation as swiftly as possible.
