A NUMBER of main roads across Southend are set to shut over the next three months for resurfacing works.
Marlborough Limited has been working on behalf of Southend Council since Monday, and will be in main roads across the borough until December 17, for resurfacing works.
The following road closures will be enforced over the next few months while this scheme takes place. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times:
- First Avenue, Westcliff - The entire length of road will be shut on October 7 and October
- Ness Road in its entirety and Caulfield Road from West Road to Ness Road, in Shoebury - on October 8 until October 11
- Northumberland Avenue - from Arnold Avenue to Northumberland Crescent will be shut from October 14 until October 16
- High Street, Shoebury - from Rampart Street to Southchurch Avenue will shut from October 17 until October 25
- Middlesex Avenue, Southend - entire length of the road shut from October 28 until October 30
- Alexandra Street, Southend - from Runwell Terrace to the High Street will shut on November 7 and November 8
- Thorpe Esplanade, Thorpe Bay - shut from Thorpe Hall Avenue to St Augustine's Avenue from November 11 until November 15
- Thorpe Hall Avenue, Thorpe Bay - from Burges Road to Woodgrange Drive will be closed on November 20 until November 28
- Shoebury Common Road - from New Barge Pier Road to Maplin Way will shut from November 29 until December 13
- Waterford Road, Shoebury - entire length of the road will shut on December 16 and 17
