A south Essex seafood restaurant loved by Basildon's own Denise van Outen gets raved reviews, offering an "exceptional experience."

TripAdvisor reviews read: "This was our first visit to Alec's and it proved to be an exceptional experience, both mains were outstanding.
"Sides are indeed generous, and so very tasty that we almost ordered more.
"What struck us most of all about the staff is how kind everyone is, so welcoming. Service throughout was attentive, without being the least bit busy."
