The Towngate Theatre in Basildon is set for a sparkling November filled with dance, music and festive fun.
With everything from classical ballet and Christmas concerts to pop tributes and pantomime magic, these five stand-out shows promise something for audiences of every age.
One of the first stand out shows is on Saturday, November 8, with The Nutcracker, presented by Imperial Classical Ballet.

Accompanied by a full live orchestra, this lavish production of Tchaikovsky’s timeless masterpiece brings together snowflakes, sweets, princes and magic in a heart-warming celebration of the festive season.
Featuring classics such as The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and The Waltz of the Flowers, it’s a dazzling introduction to ballet and a Christmas tradition for generations.
On Sunday, November 9, the multi-talented John Barrowman brings his Music, Mayhem and Mistletoe – Camp as Christmas Tour to Basildon.

The Doctor Who and Torchwood star promises a night of festive favourites, personal stories and infectious humour.
Complete with glittering tunes and Barrowman’s trademark energy, it’s an evening bursting with cheer – with VIP Q&A and meet-and-greet options available.
Festive spirit continues on Saturday, November 15, with A Fairytale for Christmas, an Irish-inspired concert packed with holiday hits.
