SOUTH Essex Wildlife Hospital have welcomed the latest addition to their seal unit with a male seal pup found on a road with multiple puncture injuries.
A male seal pup has been taken into the care of South Essex Wildlife Hospital on Orsett Road, Grays, transferred into the care of the team by British Divers Marine Life Rescue.
The mucky pup was found in the middle of a road in Great Yarmouth with multiple puncture injuries to his tiny body.

A spokesperson for the Wildlife Hospital said: "We are still full of young seals needing help, but his plight meant we had no choice but to move things around to squeeze him in.
"Luckily, he is now doing much better after a clean-up and a little warmth, and is already taking fish beautifully.
"Our grey seal season has only just begun, but we're about to get much busier with pups as the season starts in earnest."
