Why did Grundisburgh make the list?

The Muddy Stilettos website said: "Craving countryside charm without sacrificing your social life?

"Grundisburgh is the Suffolk secret you’ll be smug you discovered first.

"Think chocolate-box streets, a cracking sense of community, and a diary stuffed with fêtes, foodie pop-ups and garden-party soirées – all just a hop from the county’s coolest haunts.

"The indie shops, cosy pubs and seriously photogenic bakes draw in locals-in-the-know, while the house prices won’t make your eyes water like nearby towns. It’s country living with a pulse – village life, but make it Muddy."

Best kept secret

Muddy Stilettos said: "If you’re a fan of Frankie’s Studio in Hadleigh, did you know there’s also one in Grundisburgh?

"From pottery workshops for grown ups and kids, to interiors of dreams, we dare you not to spend all your time and money here."

Average house prices

Muddy Stilettos said: "The average house price in Grundisburgh over the past year was £439,040, making it a seriously attractive spot for those looking for charm and value.

"The sweet spot?

"Semi-detached homes, which came in at a very reasonable £305,311, while terraced properties fetched around £324,333.

"If you’re after the whole shebang, detached beauties averaged £632,500 – not exactly small change, but here’s the clincher: just down the road in Woodbridge, you’d be parting with around £729,882 for something similar.

"That’s nearly a £100K saving for being minutes away.

"Yes, please."
