Young performers are being invited to take a chance on stage as open auditions are announced for an upcoming production in Grays.
RARE Productions is holding open auditions at the Thameside Theatre for the classic musical Annie for children and young people aged eight to 21.
The story of Annie, set in 1930s New York, follows the determined orphan as she searches for her parents while navigating life under the watch of the embittered Miss Hannigan.
The show features iconic songs including "Tomorrow" and won seven Tony Awards.
A spokesman for RARE Productions said: "We strive to make being part of a RARE show a great experience for all cast members.

Auditions are group-based and will last around 30 minutes.
They involve singing, dancing, and acting, but no preparation is required as all materials will be taught on the day.
Parents are not allowed in the audition room but must remain to supervise their children before and after.
All auditionees will be notified of the outcome by post within two weeks of the second audition date, regardless of the result.
