ITV has confirmed when Love Island: All Stars will launch after wildfires delayed the original start date this week.
The villa was evacuated and filming was forced to be postponed, delaying its initial launch but now fans of the dating show don’t have long to wait for it to start.
It comes as host of the show Maya Jama announced the news on Instagram in a video on the show’s official page.
ITV confirms Love Island: All Stars start date after wildfires postponed it
The third series of the ITV2 spin-off dating show will return on Thursday, January 15 at 9pm.
Originally, it should have premiered on Monday, January 12 but was unable to when the evacuation occurred in the town of Franschhoek, South Africa, where filming reportedly takes place.
An extra episode will also be broadcast on Saturday at 9pm and viewers can watch both programmes on ITVX.
In an Instagram post announcing the news, Jama said: “I’ve got some very exciting news, I can officially announce exclusively that we are back up and running. Yeah!
“I’m obviously in glam. I’m going to go to the villa and start filming in a minute, and you can watch us on ITV2 tomorrow night at 9pm. Love Island: All Stars is back.”
Announcing the postponement on Saturday, a Love Island statement said health and safety is the show’s “greatest priority and will always come first”.
The All Stars version of the reality show follows the same format as the original ITV dating programme, only the twist is that a host of former faces return to the villa in a bid to find their match and win the prize pot.
The cast for the new series includes Jack Keating, the son of Irish popstar Ronan Keating, who appeared on the eighth series of the show, former winner Millie Court, 29, and Helena Ford, 29, who appeared on the original show this past summer.
