An Essex couple is 'excited' to be starring in a brand new television series.

Entrepreneurs David Liney ,51 and Amanda Poll,48 are set to appear on ITV this April in a new programme about decluttering, How to Clean Up for Cash.

The show will feature not only their home but their four local businesses: The Quarterdeck Seafood Bar & Bistro, The Quarterdeck Events and Dance Studio, Harbour Delights Dessert Parlour, and Vintage Candy Floss.

David and Amanda, who have been together for a year, jointly run all four ventures on the Quay in Burnham-on-Crouch.

When asked about their involvement, David said: “I applied for the show towards the end of last year. We were both very excited for our businesses and ourselves to be on ITV. It was lovely to meet Josie Gibson, who is as lovely as she comes across on TV, and also the other presenters and TV crew. Some of the show was a surprise to Amanda, which is why we had to keep quiet about the filming while it was going on!”

Speaking about filming, Amanda explained: “The shooting was such great fun. We have both filmed for TOWIE before with David’s Vintage Candy Floss, but this was the first time we have been principal characters. We loved it and were at ease as we are used to performing at all our events and I also do a morning breakfast show on Caroline Coastal FM.”

He also shared their feelings about having their businesses and home featured on television: “ITV were very excited about filming our dessert parlour and our house which are both retro 1950s American diner themed and it’s obviously great publicity for all our businesses as they have only been open for a year so we are still trying to get knowledge of them out there.”

David and Amanda hope that the exposure will raise awareness of their growing enterprises and attract more visitors to the area.

On future plans, David added: “Keep an eye out on our socials for when it goes on air and more events coming up!”

The show is due to air in April, and viewers can expect to see both the couple and their Burnham-on-Crouch businesses in full swing, bringing a blend of fun, retro charm, and business savvy to screens across the UK.
