A high street fashion retailer has reopened its doors in south Essex after a major revamp.

New Look has unveiled its revamped store at Lakeside Shopping Centre following a significant refurbishment.

The upgraded 11,920 sq ft store now features the brand’s latest omni-hub format, blending physical retail with digital services for a smoother shopping experience.

Shoppers can take advantage of click and collect, dedicated zones for womenswear and accessories, improved digital browsing, and curated collections for teens under the 915 range.

Mark Matthews, retail director at New Look, said: "We look forward to welcoming local customers to our Lakeside store again.

"This reopening marks another important step in how we are evolving our retail estate.

"As our digital platform and Club New Look loyalty programme continue to grow, we are creating stores that bring together digital inspiration and in-store interaction."

To celebrate the reopening, a weekend of special in-store events has been lined up.

The first 200 spending customers will receive goody bags, with additional prizes hidden throughout the store on scratch cards.

Customers will also receive free coffee between 10am and 2pm, and those spending £40 or more will be given a complimentary spring bouquet.

A live DJ will also perform in-store to mark the occasion.

The relaunch coincides with the latest milestone for Club New Look, the retailer’s loyalty scheme, which now boasts more than one million members.

The store refurbishment forms part of New Look’s £30 million investment in digital growth, focusing on integrating data and technology to offer a more personalised experience in-store and online.

Mr Matthews added: "Our omni-hub format integrates our online strengths with an enhanced in-store experience, and as we build on the success of recent openings, we are continuing to invest in stores that support a more connected, omnichannel customer journey."

Lakeside Shopping Centre has welcomed the latest investment in its retail line-up.

Nancy Foster, centre director at Lakeside, said: "We’re delighted to see New Look unveil its newly refurbished store at Lakeside Shopping Centre.

"The brand is a key part of our fashion offer, and this latest investment brings an enhanced shopping experience for our visitors."
