A new show featuring an Essex family is due to kick off tonight with the contestants hoping to come away with £250,000.
The Neighbourhood is ITV’s new Graham Norton‑fronted reality gameshow that turns a whole cul‑de‑sac into a competition.
Real households move into neighbouring homes on a purpose‑built street and live there together while taking on team and solo challenges.
There will be six families taking part in the show and the last household standing wins a £250,000 cash prize.
ITV is pitching it as a mix of high‑stakes gameplay and genuine emotion, with unlikely friendships, flare‑ups over bins and barbeques, and Graham Norton delivering the bad news on eviction night.
Speaking about his role, BAFTA award-winner, Graham Norton said: "One of the loveliest things about the show is seeing households who would never meet in real life, not only meeting but forming proper bonds of friendship."

The Bradons are a household of five from Essex, across three generations.
They’re made up of mum Fay-Marie, 69, her daughter Alicia, 29, sons Lucas, 37, and Nathan, 45 and Nathan’s teenage son Zach, 17.
On why they applied for the show, Nathan said: "I think it was an opportunity for us all to be together, to spend that time intimately within the household because a lot of us are often away with work and things like that.
"We wanted that opportunity to have that time together, bonding and of course there was the opportunity to win £250,000 which would be very beneficial to all members of the family."
What would they spend the money on if they won?
Zach said: "I want to get a new car and I’m also thinking of going to university as well, so that will help a lot."
Nathan said: "Mine would be a holiday to Ibiza."
Fay said: "I’m going to pay for an annex to be built. That’s what I would like to do with my money."
How would they describe their family in three words?
Fay - Loving, supportive, real.
Lukas - Loving, supportive, loud.
Alicia - Entertaining, supportive, loyal
The first episode will air on ITV 1 and ITV X tonight at 9pm.
