Inn on the Green, Stanford-le-Hope
This Greene King pub is described as a traditional boozer with bosses saying its beer garden is the "perfect place to relax with a pint on a sunny day".
The venue is also dog-friendly.
TripAdvisor user Gail M said: "Lovely little pub. Good food and fantastic service.
"Staff always welcoming and polite. Regular customers now and had almost everything on their menu.
"Not once been disappointed. Parking facilities and beautiful beer garden."
Dog and Pheasant, Colchester
This pub in Nayland Road is described as a cosy pub is the perfect place to unwind with a drink, catch the game, or chat with friends.
It is also overall the top-rated pub across Essex on TripAdvisor.
Reviewer JB says: "Lovely staff, great atmosphere and newly renovated.
"Heated garden area and park for the children. Lots of food options and choice on draft."
Sandmartin, Grays
A Greene King pub in Drake Road, Chafford Hundred, the Sandmartin is a popular spot for the area thanks to its dog-friendly, welcoming atmosphere and its Sunday roasts.
Jake H said on TripAdvisor: "We love coming here, the selection of beers is great, bar staff and service are quick and the beer garden is the best in the area."
Green Man Pub, Harlow
The Green Man is a Chef and Brewer countryside pub in Mulberry Green, Old Harlow, housed within a historic 14th-century Jacobean-style inn just a couple of miles from the town centre.
